Our staff...
Most of our staff have been working at the daycare for over 8 years. As a team, we are committed to seeing all children reach their full potential. We have a multi-ethnic staff team who enjoy bringing their cultures and language to the learning environment. Our team range from apprentices to experienced members who have been in childcare for over 15 years. Our staff are always looking to progress their quality of learning, and therefore we have staff on the team who have completed their degrees in early childhood studies as well as primary education.
All our staff have access to online training and also attend face-to-face courses regularly as well as in-house training with professionals. All observations, planning, and assessments are monitored to ensure we are providing the best care for every child attending the daycare. We have weekly planning meetings where progress, targets, and next steps are discussed and activities are set up according to these as well as children's interests. The manager carries out regular supervision, and the team work together in helping the children progress. We also work closely with Hackney Education, this includes working with the area SENCO and other professionals to support our children with additional needs, and other areas such as planning healthy menus using the 'Eat Better, Start better' scheme and carrying out 27-month checks with the health visitor.
All staff are DBS checked to ensure they are suitable for working with children. All staff are safeguarding trained. The majority of our staff have been pediatric first aid trained and trained in dealing with allergies and anaphylaxis.

Fatema started working at the Daycare in October 2011. She has a passion for working with children especially children with SEND and enjoys seeing them progress and achieve their milestones. Fatema is also the Designated Safeguarding lead (DSL) and the Special educational needs coordinator (SENCO) for the Daycare. She is also a great cook!

Sabira started her journey at the Daycare as an apprentice in October 2015 to pursue her passion for working with children. Sabira is very artistic and enjoys being creative. Sabira is currently the Deputy manager at the Daycare as well as 3rd in charge DSL, a first aider, and the 'Eat Better, Start Better' lead.
Zahraa

Zahraa started working at the Daycare as an apprentice in January 2018. She has completed her degree in Primary education and has received her Teachers status. Zahraa enjoys baking, the children like to join in and help her with baking different types of treats. She is a first aider, phonically trained, SENCO trained, and food hygiene trained.
Fadime

Fadime started working at the Daycare as a student in October 2013. She enjoys knitting and loves bringing out the creative sides of all the children. She is the 2nd in charge DSL, a first aider, and the 27-month check practitioner.
Tyannah

Tyannah has recently joined the Daycare team as an apprentice. Tyannah likes working with children and help them to reach the best possible outcomes. Tyannah enjoys messy play activites with the children and has a passion for working with children with additional needs. She loves how she learns something new everyday when working in Childcare!
Ofelia

Ofelia has been part of the team for the past 20 years. Ofelia loves cooking and feeding children. Ofelia is our friendly cook and part-time nursery practitioner, she loves to get the children up and dancing at every opportunity due to her love for music and dance.
Sarah

Sarah had joined the team as a volunteer in 2021. Her hobbies are baking and crafts, Sarah loves working with babies and has now joined the team as a Level 2 practitioner and would like to continue to pursue her career in early years childcare.

Angela has recently joined the Daycare team after being a former parent. She has always loved children and would like to pursue a career in childcare. Angela is currently completing her NVQ level 3 in Early years childcare.
