This term we have been learning about Healthy Eating, our theme for the week was Fruits and Vegetables.

The children enjoyed visiting Ridley Market and seeing all the different fruit and vegetable stalls! 

Merry Christmas Everybody!!!

During our Christmas Party, we had an exciting visit from Santa, he came on his sleigh from the north pole to give everyone their presents....

Everyone was on the good list this year!

Happy Hanukkah!!!

This Hanukkah, we had a visit from some of our parents to talk to the children about Hanukkah and how Hanukkah is celebrated. We learnt about the menorah and how it is lighted everyday and the Hanukkah song that is sung when lighting the Menorah.

The children have enjoyed decorating the Daycare and the Christmas tree in preparation for Santa who will be coming to deliver our presents soon!!!

As part of our transport theme, the children enjoyed taking the train to the Young V&A Museum of Childhood. The children explored how the Overground service is used, they were able to tap the cards and oysters, and climb on the trains. When we had reached the museum, the children mainly enjoyed putting on a show in the theatre area as well as creating shadow puppets using the spotlights!

As part of our transport theme, the children enjoyed meeting a member of the Underground staff who had come to visit the daycare and speak to the children about the uniforms, different trains, and what he does at the station as part of his work... The children enjoyed asking questions and wearing the uniform!

Happy Halloween!!!

The children have enjoyed dressing up and carving "daisy the Pumpkin" for Halloween, we also put a candle inside which make the Pumpkin all the more scarier... The children also enjoyed going trick or treating ajnd returned with many treats!

The children have developed an interest in baking, as part of this interest, we enjoyed baking carrot cake, the children mostly enjoyed learning how to shred the carrots and eating the cake!

The children have been learning about our environment, as part of our litter topic, the children went for a litter pick and collected lots of litter from the local area...

As part of our food topic, we were learning about different foods and flavours from around the world...

The parents came to celebrate our International lunch and bought some dishes from their cultures for everyone to taste...

We have enjoyed exploring the snow...

The children have loved playing in the snow, this included building snowmen, making snow angels and sweeping the snow away...
