Qualifications:
NVQ Level 3 /Nursery Nurse / Early Years Educator
Working hours:
Monday: 9.00am- 4.00pm
Tuesday- Thursday: 9.00am- 6.00pm
Additional hours can be negotiated
Skills & Abilities:
Ability to work effectively and positively as part of a team.
Ability to interact with children and parents, in a positive and helpful manner.
Ability to assist in keeping appropriate records.
Ability to organise a range of play activities that motivate children in such a way as to contribute to their enjoyment, learning, and overall development.
A willingness to attend relevant training.
Be adaptable and flexible in their working day.
Knowledge of health and safety issues and practices
To have good Knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS)
Knowledge of Ofsted
Ability to ensure an appropriate environment to help support the children
Knowledge of current legislations and policies relating to early years
Ability to produce curriculum plans and evaluate them
Knowledge of systems used for record-keeping of children’s development
Knowledge of the roles of external agencies and services for children and families
Good presentation skills
A positive and creative approach to tackling tasks.
Knowledge of and commitment to equal opportunities, anti-discriminatory practice and inclusion practice
Good understanding of the need for confidentiality
Good written and verbal skills
Negotiating skills
Ability to work flexibly
Willingness to access training opportunities
Desirable:
IT skills
First aid training
Safeguarding training
Basic food hygiene certificate
