Qualifications:

• NVQ Level 3 /Nursery Nurse / Early Years Educator

Working hours:

Monday: 9.00am- 4.00pm

Tuesday- Thursday: 9.00am- 6.00pm

Additional hours can be negotiated

Skills & Abilities:

1. Ability to work effectively and positively as part of a team.

2. Ability to interact with children and parents, in a positive and helpful manner.

3. Ability to assist in keeping appropriate records.

4. Ability to organise a range of play activities that motivate children in such a way as to contribute to their enjoyment, learning, and overall development.

5. A willingness to attend relevant training.

6. Be adaptable and flexible in their working day.

• Knowledge of health and safety issues and practices

• To have good Knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS)

• Knowledge of Ofsted

• Ability to ensure an appropriate environment to help support the children

• Knowledge of current legislations and policies relating to early years

• Ability to produce curriculum plans and evaluate them

• Knowledge of systems used for record-keeping of children’s development

• Knowledge of the roles of external agencies and services for children and families

• Good presentation skills

• A positive and creative approach to tackling tasks.

• Knowledge of and commitment to equal opportunities, anti-discriminatory practice and inclusion practice

• Good understanding of the need for confidentiality

• Good written and verbal skills

• Negotiating skills

• Ability to work flexibly

• Willingness to access training opportunities

Desirable:

• IT skills

• First aid training

• Safeguarding training

• Basic food hygiene certificate
